Paint Supplies
These are supplies I purchased with my own money. None of these reviews are sponsored. They are all my opinion. You can/will be able to watch the video tutorials once I post them and my full review will be in those videos. Slowly, my video swatching reviews will replace my printed reviews.
Did you know?
- You can use paint pens like regular paint? You can add more detail with color pencils.
- Color pencils can also be used as paint as well?

Caran d'Ache Pablo Color Pencils Oil |
These color pencils are worth it. They are oil based and have helped with my color range. You can use this product to turn it into a paintable medium. |
|
These are "supposed" to be for rocks and glass and all the like, yet it wouldn't work on canvas. Stop the cap, bruh.
|
Absolutely love the range of colors for this product. The brush on one side and the thick nib on the other side are perfect. Doesn't have a lot of skin tones in this, though.

Water |
Colors are gorgeous but Arteza doesn't do brushes well. |
|
Arteza Watercolor Color pencils Watercolor |
These color pencils will allow you to add water to turn them into watercolor ink. Super dope to play with because of the wide variety of colors and the how rich the pigment is. Arteza does have gorgeous colors. |
|
Oil Pastels |
These are transluscent. But it has a large range of colors, especially skin tones. When paired with a base palette of another brand, can be very useful. I use these a lot. You can blend or smooth oil pastels by using this medium. |

Soft Pastels |
These are top tier. If you are like me, you're going to want to get a mask to use these, though. The particles do go into my nostrils and make me sick so I use a mask when I use these. |
|
Grabie Paint Pens | Very pigmented, great variety of colors for each colorway. I have fun with these. Just remember to activate them off page (not on your project). |

Marker Bag | You want to make art on the go with your markers/color pencils? This is the case to grab. I absolutely love the dividers in here as I can separate the colors I need for different projects while on the go. It is a fun bag with lots of storage. |
|
Desktop Marker Storage | The stars say it all. I love this storage solution so much I got 2. |

Watercolor |
Listen, I'm in my watercolor bag. These are really pigmented and I have a good time with them. They are easy to travel with. |
|
Arteza Iridescent Acrylic Paint Acrylic |
Buttery smooth but not very opaque. Beautiful colors. |
|
Mozart Premium Japanese Watercolor Paint Set Watercolor |
Gorgeous colors. Really fun to use |
|
Alcohol Ink |
I had so much fun with these products. You will need this kind of alcohol and a blower to use them effectively. If you want to prime your medium, here's the primer. It is a fun medium to play with. |

Pixiss Alcohol Inks Alcohol Ink |
I wanted to play with some metallics in my paintings so I purchased these. I don't love these as much as the Piccassio alcohol inks. These allow themselves to be bullied on the page a bit too much and aren't ask opaque. |
|
Crafter's Closet |
It gets the job done. Can't really rate these as it's just regular student grade paint.

Golden Heavy Body |
All of the Goldens are top tier. I love the thickness of a heavy body. |
|
Golden Open Slow Drying Acrylic |
I love the slow drying timing of these as well. |
|
Golden So Flat Matte Pink | Burnt Sienna | Burnt Umber | Raw Sienna
The colors for Golden are so vivid. |

Sennelier Liners General Colors Metallics Acrylic |
Everyday all day. These are so much fun. I am loving the opportunity to add texture to the pieces I'm creating. |

Acrylic |
Yes, 10/10. These allow me to make the art on glass I want to see. |

Crayola Oil Pastels |
These are pretty ok for the price point. They are hard, they aren't easy to blend with because they have a lot of filler. Not worth it imo unless you're using them under softer oil pastels. |
|
Mungyo Oil Pastels |
When I started to write this, I almost put "hubba hubba". This is a great oil pastel set. It literally comes with a wooden carrying case and it's colors are beautifully opaque. It blends well and smoothly. The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is the limited color variety but it is a great base of oil pastels. |

Van Gogh Oil Pastels Oil Pastels Softness: Medium |
For these to have the Van Gogh name, it's just fair to midlin'. It isn't really impressive, they are just ok and do not have a huge color selection. Blending is just aiight --nothing to write home to mom about. |

I have used these, they do work well but work more like an "after I finish the regular work" of a piece. They're an affect. So use cautiously because they are not easy to blend. They want to be the star so if you're not strategic when using them you're going to have to work harder to "fix" the issue you may be having.
|
I prefer a sta-wet palette. It allows me to paint longer and I've found I don't love crusty paint palettes.

Respirator | This is what I use with my soft pastels. It is so helpful. |
|
Brushes | I had to learn the difference in the types of brushes for the mediums that I am using and this made a huge difference in the painting options I've been exploring with. |
