Where is the Magic for Us?

Posted by jaha Knight on

You ever look at the world around you and think, “Where’s the magic for us?”

I mean, real, unapologetic, untamed Black girl magic. The kind that isn’t just a buzzword but something we live, breathe, and create. That’s how Black Girl Thicks were born.

As a little girl, I always knew Black girls were tasked early on with shaping our futures in a world that didn't understand what it meant to be a Black woman. So the world didn’t always reflect our joy, our power, and our brilliance. I wanted to change that. I wanted to create something that would celebrate Black girls in all their fullness; real, bold, and divine.

Enter the Black Girl Thicks. This was the first collection I started. It is of full-sized coloring books designed to let every Black girl see herself in magical spaces. Each page is more than just a scene to color, it’s a universe to step into. A world where Black girls don’t just exist but thrive. The Thicks are thick with possibilities, thick with soul, and thick with joy.

Each book is an invitation to explore, to create, and to come into your becoming. Every page is an affirmation. Every stroke of color is an act of reclaiming space. When you open a Black Girl Thick, you’re not just coloring—you’re healing, you’re manifesting, you’re telling your own story. It’s more than art. It’s the Black girl revolution in every line, every shade, every magical world we’ve yet to discover.

Welcome to to your world, sis.
