Maybe I Misinterpreted the Vision

Maybe I Misinterpreted the Vision
When I was little I used to dream I was falling.
My mom, well she said that I needed to pray more because a falling dream means you're going to Hell. That wasn't comforting to a girl who would wake up every night entangled in her bedsheets, covered in sweat thinking hell was her next stop.
I don't know if it was something she said as a scare tactic to make me pray more or if she believed it but either way... I prayed more, lol.
I thought about that this morning - maybe she misinterpreted the vision I was being given.
We often do that.
Share with someone else our dreams and they misinterpret what God sent directly to us.
We want to know:
What does it mean?
What should I do?
We seek the input of others without trusting what we saw in our own vision.
That's why I don't do that with dakari Moon. I think about the whole vision and plan around specific goals in a way that works for the project, not in general. I provide tools that foster curiousity and a deeper dive beneath the surface of ideas to help create real businesses with real revenue.
Creating a business brand isn't cut and paste. If it were, Zipcar wouldn't be revolutioning the rental car business...Uber and Lyft wouldn't have upset the cab industry and Amazon wouldn't have turned the publishing world on its ear.
But it all starts with your dream. Your vision for not only your business but for your life. I knew working 9-5 would never allow me to fully manifest the goals I had. That would only happen once I made a commitment to stand on the backs of the prayers (thanks Ma) and scootch closer to my own interpretation.
I was falling into something greater. I still have the same dream to this day; I let it fully play out now though. Old folks will still offer up that same interpretation. But it's cut and paste and I'm unicorn unique, like you. The dream only happens when I'm doing things that scare the Hell OUT of me. But always, a strong pair of hands catch me before I hit the ground.
I don't wake up entangled in the sheets + on the floor. I am no longer afraid. And you shouldn't be either. Trust your vision. Have faith.
Your business is not just a dream. It's not unattainable. You can make a living from it and be quite happy doing so - I do it every single day...and so do legions of others.
Let's not keep misinterpreting the vision for your life, your future, your legacy.
